Brochure is no doubt one of the most important advertising materials. It is used for the purpose of promoting an organization’s goods and services. Usually, in brochures persuasive messages are incorporated, so that by going through it, the readers can feel the urge to purchase any of the company products.
You may design a brochure using multiple pages stapled in the corner or the pages of your brochure may remain saddle stitched. How many folds will be there in your brochure actually depends on how much information you want to insert in it. You can also select brochure covers according to your wish. The cover paper may be glossy or it can also be matt finish. However, keep this in mind that most of the people like to judge a book by its cover. So, the cover should be made as attractive as possible.
Usually a single page with several folds is more economical and also looks professional. Whereas, a tri-fold paper fits inside most of the mail envelops. Paper quality and color also play very important role in brochure design. There is no doubt in the fact that on glossy paper, if something is written with bold colors it will surely draw the attention of the people.
On the other hand, it may happen that you are unable to spend much money for your brochure design. In that case you can go for white and black color scheme. Besides selecting colors, you should also give importance to the paper size. Ask your printer for different options and then choose the best-suited one.
These are no doubt some of the basic principles of designing brochure and the companies providing brochure design services usually follow these guidelines.

points are very true and professional. the glossy bold text concept was very nice. But what ever we design, all that matters when the printing is more expressive with all these implications.
