Finding out the source of “Not Found” errors or “404 Error” is considered as the most difficult task by a large number of webmasters. Before the launched of this feature, webmasters could not identify location of a 404 Error page from the available “Web Crawl Error” section of Google’s Webmaster Tools. The release of this new feature – “Linked Form” will now enable a webmaster to pinpoint the source of 404 error without making a diligent search. Therefore, it is going to facilitate the process of rectifying this error.

A new page will be added in the “Linked Form” for every “Not Found” error. Clicking on that page link will open a separate dialogue box, where the location details of a 404 error will be specified. A option “Download this table” is also included in that dialogue box that will help a webmaster to download all the data in .cvs format.
