Apple, the technology giant, is all ready to launch its next smartphone model, iPhone 5. The much awaited launch date is on September 12. The company that has always been close-mouthed about its product launches has sent out emails to media representatives, asking them to attend the event this Wednesday, in San Francisco, and, only invitees are allowed to attend.
The company officials are tight-lipped about the event and while they haven’t revealed much as to the context of the launch, their clever tag-line, “It’s almost here” has encouraged Apple enthusiasts to look for clues! The hint is more evident this time as the shadow of the digit 12 shows a clear 5. This has resulted in a lot of speculation that the new device will be known as iPhone 5. It seems that it will not be called iPhone4G anymore.
The new model is expected to arrive in the market with some enhanced features like a speedy processor, a bigger screen and a small dock connector. It is also possible that the gadget will be equipped with NFC technology that will help customers make payments using this phone.
iMore, the blog, has stated that pre-orders will commence from September 12 itself. The phone will enter the market exactly 9 days later, i.e. on September 21, 2012.
The launch ceremony will commence at 10a.m. in San Francisco. Experts are also looking forward to the launch of Apple’s smaller version of iPad sometime in October.
